We teamed up with globe-trotting colour wizard Christiano Lanza recently to help turn his education app into a live performance. Jon and the team joined Lanza live, on-stage at hairdressing show, Salon International.

The aim was to create a series of complex and dramatic runway looks inspired by Christiano Lanza Education’s Autumn/Winter theme of violet, purple and indigo colours. With just twenty minutes on stage and no access to water, it took plenty of innovative thinking (and a room in a nearby hotel) to create the show, but the results were phenomenal. Jon’s supermodel friend Leebo Freeman joined the team on stage to help present the final catwalk show.

The presentation was created in association with Five Point Alliance, a professional collective that brings together industry experience and creative inspiration from many different backgrounds to create regular collections that celebrate innovation, versatility and individuality.

Jon says: “It’s really important to be able to work at the cutting edge of our profession in order to keep bringing fresh ideas and inspiration back to the salon. Training and creativity are at the heart of Jon Kinsey Salon’s way of working, so I like to involve as many of the team as I can in this type of opportunity.”

Christiano Lanza Education was created by international colour specialist Christiano Lanza following ten years as a creative director at Sassoon Academy. Christiano Lanza Education aims to deliver interactive, highly-effective technical training that clients can access through a number of formats including lectures, face-to-face training and an interactive mobile app.
